Lamberth Mateer, a professional limited liability company, is a law firm formed in 2007 by two AV-rated attorneys, formerly at large Dallas law firms, who sought to combine their large-firm experience with the efficiency and creativity of a small firm. • Represented a multi-national company on a claim arising out of a botched aircraft conversion recovering $20 Million when the initial demand was $13 Million.
• Represented a limited partner in a minority oppression lawsuit against a substantial real estate company and obtained $1 Million+ jury verdict, which was upheld on appeal.
• Negotiated and closed aircraft purchase agreements involving Learjets, Hawkers, Challengers by and between aircraft owners and/or aircraft manufacturers (e.g., Dassault, Bombardier).
• Represented local company against a Chinese corporation on a claim arising out of the delivery and installation of defective equipment and obtained a $1.5 Million judgment.
• Defended NCAA in multi-million dollar intellectual property lawsuit filed in federal court, obtaining a defense verdict at trial with an award of attorneys' fees, which was upheld on appeal by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
• Represented a physician in a business partnership dispute, obtaining an arbitration award of over $200,000, including punitive damages recovery.
• Represented a senior citizens group, who had been denied the right to hold Bible studies, sing gospel music and pray at a city-owned senior citizens center, obtaining a federal court judgment reinstating the senior citizens' First Amendment rights and awarding attorneys' fees.
• Represented several churches in land use disputes, obtaining federal court judgments or settlements permitting the churches' desired use of their land.
